Seaside Bliss

I feel incredibly lucky to be living close to the sea again.

“The cure for anything is saltwater; sweat, tears or the sea” – Isak Dinesen.

It seems to be so true – the sea calms me, and just being near it can make any problems feel small.  I get the same feeling when I look up at the stars on a clear crisp evening.  Everything else just seems to pale into insignificance somehow.

Just walking along the seafront in the mornings and taking a few snaps of daily life is such a wonderful thing to be able to do.

The sun was shining this morning, so I went for a wander along the coastal path; not for any particular reason – just because.  No stress of getting up for work and missing the sunshine in order to make someone else money (the fact that I now have none of my own doesn’t seem to matter at the moment…).  Relax and enjoy.  I haven’t felt this peaceful in a long time.  Blissful actually.

P.S: We had our first Folksy sale this morning – can’t tell you how excited I am!  Positive starts and new beginnings all round! 🙂
